Working small is a simple, fast and creative way to carve out a daily art practice.  I've learned that creating small gives me the opportunity to finish a surface, explore an idea or technique and create composition in a short amount of time.  

In this class we will be working through 1 lesson a day for 30 days with techniques, prompts and exercises to get you playing around with portraits on small surfaces. Instead of of focusing on realism, we will be exploring abstraction, gesture drawing, expressive painting, collage, mixed media and more! I will be sharing a variety of simple techniques and prompts that will get you comfortable and set you free to create portraits without the pressure to be perfect.

Whether you're a seasoned artist or just starting out, this course will help you develop the skills and confidence you need to create expressive, stress-free portraits that truly capture your subject's personality and spirit.
